Assistant Controller-Technical Accounting :

Our client is a fast-growing SEC company that is a leader in their industry and has an extremely bright future. They currently seek an Assistant Controller-Technical Accounting to join their finance team.

Responsibilities include:

1) Coordinate the research, evaluation and presentation of technical accounting issues (in particular, SFAS 133 & 115) and how they impact the company

2) Coordinate the preparation of certain SEC required financial information and disclosures

3) Prepare, maintain and revise (as applicable) applicable sections of the company's Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual

4) Spearhead special accounting projects and make presentations to executive management

REQUIREMENTS:

·BS/BA degree in finance or accounting, CPA strongly desired
·8-15 years of progressive work experience in either public accounting or a combination of public accounting and the Financial Services Industry (Securities/Derivatives experience a plus)
·Strong technical accounting research skills
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

SALARY: $95,000-$115,000 + 15% Target Bonus
