Controller-Financial Services Industry
DESCRIPTION: Our client is a fast-growing SEC company in the insurance industry. They are seeking a high-energy, experienced CPA, with 8-15 years of Big 4 and/or insurance industry experience. This is a high exposure role where you will oversee all accounting functions. The company is planning future acquisitions, therefore M&A experience is a plus. You will oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports, managing monthly closes, various financial analyses, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and manage the external audit function.

·Manage all aspects of the accounting and finance operations.
·Maintain a strong system of internal controls.
·Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and STAT.
·Review/Prepare Board of Director and executive management reporting packages.
·Manage the relationship with the external auditors.
·Manage Sarbanes-Oxley and special projects; mentor and develop staff.
·CPA with 8-15 years of Big 4 and/or Insurance industry experience; including sound knowledge of GAAP and STAT.
·Must have excellent and effective leadership skills, along with strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel, including executive management, financial and non-financial staff.
·Ability to think strategically and still maintain an attention to detail.
·Strong problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
·BA/BS in Accounting.
SALARY: $100-150K + Bonus + Stock Options
