Operations Analyst :

DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a successful growing registered investment advisor that currently seeks a bright, energetic professional with 2-6 years of finance and/or accounting experience to fill our Operations Analyst position.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multi-task, possess effective communication skills and have the ability manage and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced team-oriented office environment. The Operations Analyst will provide overall day-to-day investment operational support to the Company’s Investment Portfolio Managers. The primary responsibilities of this position include the back-office functions of investment advisor operations including:

·Processing securities transactions, including trade entry, execution/affirmation and settlement
·Maintaining and administering the company's trading and analytics system
·Monitoring daily cash balances and activity
·Confirming trade activity between broker dealers and custodian banks
·Proof and reconciliation - supporting the resolution of transactional and operational issues
·Implementing and improving operational, compliance and control processes
·Acting as a liaison among Portfolio Managers, broker-dealers and custodial banks
·Assisting in other special projects that arise

REQUIREMENTS:

·BS/BA degree in finance or accounting
·2-6 years of relevant work experience in the investment management or securities brokerage industries
·Proficiency with computer applications (strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word a must; MS Access, VBA/macros a strong plus)
·Working knowledge of Bloomberg system and investment accounting applications a strong plus
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Self-starter attitude
·Willingness to learn and grow in the position

SALARY: $45,000-$55,000 + 30% Bonus Potential
