Manager - Special Acctg. Projects, M&A, Due Diligence :

DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a Fortune 500 worldwide business leader, currently seeks a Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be the primary contact on accounting issues and questions that arise from the company's business units, as it relates to the accounting analysis of proposed business deals and transactions. You will participate as a member of cross divisional teams that are established to address particular issues, transactions and the potential impact of proposed or enacted accounting and SEC standards. After approximately 2 years, you will have the opportunity to rotate to another high-level accounting/finance management position, either in Corporate Finance or within the Operating Units of the company.

NOTE: THE EXPECTED CAREER TRACK OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE TO THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT RANKS.

Responsibilities include: Lead the assessment of the accounting impact to the company relating to proposed mergers & acquisitions, business deals and other transactions; perform due diligence procedures relating to potential mergers and acquisitions; research and analyze proposed statements, standards and SEC reporting guidelines; spearhead the implementation of accounting policies and procedures relating to newly enacted accounting standards; work with Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations on financial analysis and special projects; perform special projects and initiatives.

NOTE: Relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

* CPA with 5-10 years of accounting experience, including current or recent (within the last 2 years) experience in a Big 4 or 5 Firm or large regional public accounting firm

* Strong technical accounting and analytical skills

* Top performer (you have consistently received top rated performance evaluations)

* Ability to interact with people at all levels of the company

* Works well independently and with a team

* Strong desire to succeed.

$70,000-$85,000 + Bonus
