Director of Finance & Accounting :

DESCRIPTION: Our client is a fast-growing company that is seeking a high-energy, experienced accounting professional to manage the operations of our accounting and finance department. In this pivotal hands-on-role, the Director of Finance will handle a wide variety of responsibilities including preparing internal and external financial statements and reports, managing monthly closes, and all other accounting functions. This position will also perform various financial analyses, be responsible for establishing an in-depth management reporting function, and manage the treasury function. Additionally, the Director of Finance will manage the external audit function and interact routinely with the Board of Directors. This position reports to the CEO.

NOTE: The company is a leader in its industry and is poised for significant growth over the next several years. You will have the opportunity to receive stock options as well and significant (25-50% of base salary) annual bonus potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Manage all aspects of accounting operations including the monthly closing process.
·Establish and maintain an adequate system of internal controls.
·Prepare external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
·Prepare Board of Director and management reporting packages, including analytical review.
·Oversee purchasing, insurance and all administrative functions.
·Perform various analytical works for CEO and other internal customers.
·Prepare and coordinate with external auditors all appropriate material for quarterly reviews and annual audits of financial statements.
·Coordinate preparation of tax returns and other required tax filings.
·Manage treasury function including the investing of excess cash on a short-term basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

·A financial/accounting generalist with at least 8 years experience in public and private accounting.
·Data management experience.
·Must have excellent business judgment and possess effective leadership skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel, including senior management, non-financial staff and the Board of Directors.
·Ability to think strategically and still maintain an attention to detail.
·Strong problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
·Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and financial software packages needed.

EDUCATION:

·BA/BS in Finance/Accounting.
·MBA and/or CPA preferred.

SALARY: $80,000-100,000 + Bonus Potential of 25-50% + Stock Options
