Cost Financial Analyst :

DESCRIPTION: Our client, a major division of an international, Connecticut based Fortune 100 company, currently seeks a Cost Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This position provides an exciting variety of responsibilities and objectives, including financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and reporting of key data to the Management Team for important decision-making.

NOTE: Candidates must be either U.S. citizens or Green Card holders. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities include: investigate and analyze financial information related to multiple cost accounting areas, such as product costs, variance analysis and general accounting functions; prepare financial analyses and reports, account reconciliations and journal entries relating to inventory; liaison with various operational departments and corporate finance to ensure proper authorization for program directives; prepare billings for miscellaneous inventory sales to subcontractors; support continued strengthening and monitoring of internal accounting controls relating to overdue work orders, manufacturing losses and other areas of responsibility in order to create a best practices environment.

NOTE: This position will allow you to gain exposure to various levels of financial and operational management via presentations and special assignments. After 2-3 years, you will work with management to identify your next rotational assignment.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or Accounting; 2-5 years of related experience; strong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel) and other financial systems (knowledge of Hyperion or SAP a plus); strong desire to succeed.

SALARY: $48,000-$62,000
