Assistant Controller :

Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for the management of the financial reporting process, the overall accounting activities of the company and numerous special accounting projects and initiatives. Responsibilities include: manage the consolidation of the financial reporting process, including the planning, coordination and review of financial information submitted from the various plants and subsidiaries; oversee the closing process and the integrity of the information included within the financial statements; ensure that generally accepted accounting principles are being adhered to and provide technical guidance and direction in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and standards; perform process improvement initiatives to streamline the reporting process and create a "best practices" environment; mentor, train and develop accounting personnel within the department; manage special accounting and financial projects.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA (MBA a plus); 8+ years of progressive experience; recent or current Big 5 experience highly desired; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong technical accounting, financial reporting, problem solving and decision-making skills.
