Responsibilities include: manage the consolidation of the financial reporting process, including the planning, coordination and review of financial information submitted from the various plants and subsidiaries; oversee the closing process and the integrity of the information included within the financial statements; ensure that generally accepted accounting principles are being adhered to and provide technical guidance and direction in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and standards; perform process improvement initiatives to streamline the reporting process and create a "best practices" environment; mentor, train and develop accounting personnel within the department; manage special accounting and financial projects.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA (MBA a plus); 8+ years of progressive experience; recent or current Big 5 experience highly desired; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong technical accounting, financial reporting, problem solving and decision-making skills.
