Divisional Cost Controller :

DESCRIPTION: Our client, a large Fortune 500 global manufacturer, is currently in search of a Cost Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will interact heavily with personnel in the manufacturing and production process as well as the Corporate Controllers group. You will be a key financial team member, providing valuable financial information and input into the business decisions that directly impact the company's bottom line. You will also have high exposure to executive management. Travel may be required to manufacturing plants in order to accomplish the company's goals.

Responsibilities include: work closely with manufacturing personnel while performing financial analysis relating to ad-hoc requests; assist in developing and utilizing cost measurement tools in accordance with GAAP (these tools will be used in order to review and analyze inventory, fixed assets and costing/valuation issues); direct the review and analysis of financial performance versus profit plans and work with operational management to fully understand the variances and propose ways to improve areas as needed; develop financial forecasts for the business unit based on obtaining an in-depth knowledge of the unit's manufacturing process and operations; be a change agent and identify ways in which the unit can improve.


Candidates must be either U.S citizens or Green Card holders in order to be considered for this position.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably with manufacturing and cost accounting experience; strong computer systems, analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the company. CPA or advanced degree preferred.
