Financial Controller-Manufacturing Operations :

DESCRIPTION: Our client, a major division of a Fortune 100 company, currently seeks a Financial Controller to join their operational finance team. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the premier companies in the World at a very high level. You will have the immediate chance to have high visibility with executive management and to make an impact on the company's operations. NOTE: Candidates must be either U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.

Major responsibilities include: financial planning and management, asset management, manpower planning, budgeting, general accounting and controls for both the engineering and manufacturing elements of the business, with particular emphasis on inventory accuracy and product costs. You will serve as a key leadership team member...a strategic consultant on financial and business issues.

*** You will be heavily involved in Kaizen events, Lean Manufacturing techniques, Product Process Improvement, Supply Chain Management and other initiatives conducted in order to create a best practices environment. ***

Listed below is a sampling of responsibilities as outlined by our client:

Financial Controllership-ownership of all financial aspects of the group, including accounting, internal controls and internal/external financial matters. This shall include, but not be limited to: ensuring accurate inventory and consumable consumption controls, cost management, financial planning and forecasting, manpower and load assessments, make/buy decisions, capital planning, and tooling expenditures (shop and vendor).

Strategic Leadership-provide a clear vision to others of what the organization requires to ensure its future success, motivate employees, take ownership for the future direction of the organization, set high expectations and goals, encourage others to excel and focus others toward the most important objectives of the company.

Empowerment-create an environment in which most people are involved, included and accountable for their actions, involve others appropriately in making decisions, demonstrate consistency of purpose, encourage teamwork and a sense of partnership.

Developing Organization Talent-believe in others' abilities to achieve results and their maximum potential, demonstrate confidence in their capabilities, give descriptive feedback to improve or maintain effective performance.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (CPA/MBA preferred); 5-10 years of progressive experience with SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH SHOP FLOOR PERSONNEL AND OPERATIONAL ISSUES IN A MANUFACTURING SETTING; strong leadership and team building skills; effective communication and problem-solving skills; strong desire to make things happen and succeed.
